John Wesley Glover

John Wesley Glover, was born on April 6, 1936 in Bamberg, South Carolina to Ruth Thomas and Larry Glover.

John was educated in the Bamberg school system and attended Richard Carroll High School in Bamberg, South Carolina.

John Glover relocated to Brooklyn, New York in 1957. He worked as a truck driver until he suffered a work related injury. John was affectionately known to family and friends as “Rocky G”. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed family gatherings.

John’s daughter Annette Glover preceded him in death. However the legacy lives on and memories cherished with one grandson Victor D’Jean Glover, and three great grandchildren: Jeremiah D. Glover, Auset N. Marie Glover and Elijah K. Glover, one god-daughter Denise Thomas.

John’s longtime companion and special lady Lucille Mitchell, will miss him dearly.

Although John was tall and slim, his laughter and good disposition was big.

He will be missed by a host of cousins and longtime friends.

John passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at Long Island  Jewish Hospital.

His final resting place will be in Bamberg, South Carolina his hometown where it all began.
