James Porter was a native of Brooklyn, New York. He was born the son of David James Fullard and Diane Porter.

James was preceded in death by his stepfather Robert Griffin and brother Christopher.

On Thursday, December 2, 2021, the Lord called him home. He leaves to cherish his father David James Fullard, mother Diane Porter, stepmother Shondell P. Fullard, brothers: Derrick, Ashawn, David Jr., and Davon; sisters: Shanaey, Dadreama, Brianna, Shanelle and Lonnette; great uncle Bishop James Brewer; uncles: Michael, Ernest, Anthony, Jeffery and Eric; great aunt Eunice Lee; aunts: Terry (Frank), Edna, Claretha, Anoceleek, Sandra, Dee, Lachella, Jacqueline and a host of nieces and nephews.
